Nurturing Creativity and Connection
Orange Chair Art Club is a welcoming after-school art program for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade, located in North Capitol Hill, Seattle. We believe every child is an artist, and we provide a nurturing, inspiring space where creativity, curiosity, and confidence can grow. Through hands-on exploration of painting, drawing and mixed media, students develop self-expression and creative problem-solving skills in a supportive, process-focused environment. Rooted in our vibrant neighborhood community, Orange Chair Art Studio is a creative home where young artists build friendships, explore their imagination, and leave each day feeling proud of what they’ve made.

Students Designing For Good!
Orange Chair Design Lab is a creative learning program where students master the fundamentals of graphic design while making a real-world impact. Guided by our tagline, “students designing for good,” students explore typography, layout, color theory, branding, and visual storytelling as they design for posters, stickers, T-shirts, and other marketing swag. Through partnerships with nonprofit organizations, students work on real client projects—building professional portfolios, gaining hands-on experience, and strengthening communication and collaboration skills. Students are able to earn volunteer hour credit for their nonprofit work, turning their creativity into meaningful community impact.
